Modern painting line
System solution of the painting line provides the complex solution for
the surface treatment issues. Not only surface treatment experts, but
also those from air-condition, water – demineralization preparation and
wastewater – disposal branches did take part in designing it. The line
is operated by a modern control system. We have also closely cooperated
with prospective clients, especially those involved in the automotive
industry. The line is based on the cutting – edge surface treatment technology
available, using principles of electrostatic coating of two – layer powder
plastics.
Painted parts
The technology applied in the process enables painting steel and aluminium
parts. Maximum parts size is 1300 x 450 x 2500 mm (height x width x length).
Series or large – scale production of small parts with a high demand for
surface protection seems to be perfect in terms of reaching the excellent
level of productivity.
Conveyor
Transport between individual stages of the line is ensured by means of
a C-shaped suspension chain conveyor with an open top to reduce a fall
– out. Parts for painting are fastened into conductive suspensions that
enable electrostatic plastic coating. Optimum devices for parts suspension
are designed in cooperation with customers.
Pre – surface protection
The process, secured by spray technology, runs gradually in a tunnel
equipped with ten chemical treatment and wash vats. The By-pass system
allows different steel and aluminium pre – treatment. Zn – phosphate is
used for steel parts pre – treatment while Cr – free conversion is applied
for aluminium. To ensure maximum quality and efficientcy of the process
we closely cooperate with experts from Henkel Surface Technologies.
Spraying
A “heart” of the system consists of two spraying booth produced by a
Swiss company ITW Gema AG. It uses a unique technology of electrostatic
coating of two-layer powder plastic; polyester for the first layer and
acryl powder plastic for the second.
Polyester plastic coating is carried out in a plastic cyclone-spraying
booth. One of its parts-a powder centre is designed to ensure a quick
and safe conversion between different colour shades. The device is located
in a air – conditioned clean room area that ensures a dust – free operation.
Curing is carried out in an A – type oven with indirect heating and circulated
air filtration at temperatures up to 230 oC.
Acryl transparent powder plastic is applied in the second booth of the
same qualities.Method of powder coating and curing is similar to the abovementioned
one.
